“Red Kilt” is a life-size custom sculpture with an original tartan pattern. The 5 foot tall mannequin is created with 250 slices of aluminum and stands on a rotating wooden base. The Tartan is wrapped around the waist in three separate sculptures, the back features the traditional pleats of a Scottish Kilt. The Black Leather Straps and Buckles are all glass as well as the Celtic Knife Pin on the right knee. The Plaid is wrapped around the chest and hangs over the left shoulder finishing with a hand twisted glass fringe along the bottom edge. The Plaid is pinned on the left shoulder with a cast glass Celtic Pin, the amber globe of this pin has the “Markow & Norris” signature and contains 3 red glass “rubies.” Detail shots are below:
