Golden Poppy is the fourth in the popular series of flower sculpture. The sculpture is based on the distinctive colors of the California state flower. Like the Red Poppy, it features the circular weave with thinner strips of glass in the center expanding into wider strips as they reach the outside fringe. The mix of yellows and oranges, come metallic, captures the Golden Poppy in full bloom. The center of the sculpture is cast glass to represent the stamen of the flower.
