Spring Dawn Kimono

Spring Dawn is the third in a series of four freestanding life-size kimonos representing the four seasons during different times of day. Her color pallet includes skies of Aurora Borealis to pinks of a sunrise moving towards an early morning rainbow. Colors of a springtime landscape in full bloom with crocuses and daffodils and blossoming cherry trees are featured. The kimono is 125 pounds and made of 19 separate pieces of woven glass supported by a metal mannequin. The sister kimonos are Autumn Sunset(2009), Winter Twilight (2010), and Summer Zenith (2013).
