Red Poppy is the first in a series of flower sculptures planned by the artists, featuring their circular weave. Each strip of glass starts out thin in the center of the flower and widens towards the outside fringe. The concentric circles of the weave are noticeably tight from the stamen out to the undulating edge of the circular petals. Red Poppy features and exciting mix of both deep and bright reds with metallic orange showcasing the flower in full bloom.
