Markow & Norris debut their fifth stylized bovine skull with Texas Longhorn Skull. Special care was taken when casting the solid glass horns to create a diamond/crystal effect on the forward facing side. Small pieces of glass leftover from the weaving process have also been embedded into the cast horns. This skull gives a special acknowledgment to Austin and the Texas Longhorns with nods to the distinct burnt orange color of the Austin football team. Other iconic skull sculptures of the series, originally inspired by Georgia O’Keefe, include the white Desert Skull, the adobe red Santa Fe Skull, blue Babe, and purple Lucy.
